Susannah Rooney

Susannah is a seasoned executive with extensive experience leading transformational growth, scaling complex organisations and collaborating to deliver value for stakeholders. Holding senior leadership roles in the medical research sector since 2020, she has a comprehensive understanding of the funding and policy drivers shaping women’s health research in Australia.
With a unique set of skills in banking & finance law, management and executive leadership, she is recognised for her people-centred, inclusive leadership defined by vision, integrity, hard work and a commitment to excellence. She founded Amplify51 in March 2026 to champion greater investment in women's health, drawing on global best practice, evidence-based research, and cross-sector collaboration.
Through Amplify51, she works to influence national conversations, mobilise investment, and accelerate the systemic change needed to improve health outcomes for women.
